Tanzania Visa

For entering Tanzania, most visitors need a visa. This is a travel document issued by the Tanzanian government that allows entry into the country. The type of visa you need will depend on the purpose and duration of your stay. Tanzania offers several types of visas including tourist visas, business visas and tourist visas. The most common visa for tourists is the single-entry tourist visa which allows a stay of up to 90 days and is valid for three months from the date of issue.

Visitors can obtain a Tanzania Visa in advance from a Tanzania embassy or consulate in their home country. Or they can apply for an e-visa online through the Tanzania Immigration Department’s website. In some cases, visitors can also obtain a visa upon arrival at major ports of entry, including airports and border crossings. Though, we always recommend to obtain a visa in advance to avoid potential delays or complications at the border.

Moreover, it’s advisable to check with the Tanzania embassy or with a trusted travel agent before making travel arrangements to Tanzania.

Obtaining a visa is necessary for visitors to enter Tanzania, regardless of the purpose or duration of their stay.

Tourist visa policy for Tanzania Safari

Tourists who wish to go on a Tanzania Safari are required to obtain a tourist visa before their arrival. The cost of the tourist visa varies depending on the applicant's nationality and the length of their stay. Typically, a single-entry tourist visa is valid for up to 90 days, with the possibility of extending it for an additional 90 days once in Tanzania. Visitors are required to have a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Upon arrival in Tanzania, visitors must present their passports with a valid visa, a return ticket or proof of onward travel, and sufficient funds to cover the stay in the country.

Follow the Tanzanian visa requirements including the necessary documents for hassle-free entry into the country.

Jombi’s camp was exceptional and very enjoyable. The attention to detail was amazing and the camp fire was a great touch.
